The Beginner Braiding Essentials Program is a 5-day, hands-on training designed for students with little to no previous braiding experience. This class is ideal for complete beginners, parents learning to care for their children’s hair, and anyone who wants to build a strong foundation in braiding.
Throughout the week, students will learn:
Natural hair braiding fundamentals
Three-strand braids and single plaits
Basic cornrows on natural hair
Regular box braids
Beginner knotless braids
Parting techniques and sizing charts
Tension control for clean, comfortable, long-lasting braids
How to prep, detangle, and blow-dry hair properly
Each day includes instructor demonstrations, guided practice, and personalized feedback to help you develop confidence and consistency in your technique.
Students will also receive:
A full student kit with tools and supplies
Daily lunch provided by our partnered caterer
A final project on a live model
A certificate of completion at the end of the program
By the end of the course, you will have a solid foundation in braiding and the skills to braid your own hair, your family’s hair, or begin your journey toward professional styling.
