The Beginner Braiding Essentials Program is a 5-day, hands-on training designed for students with little to no previous braiding experience. This class is ideal for complete beginners, parents learning to care for their children’s hair, and anyone looking to build a strong foundation in braiding.
Throughout the week, students will learn:
Natural hair braiding fundamentals
Three-strand braids and single plaits
Basic cornrows on natural hair
Regular box braids
Beginner knotless braids
Parting techniques and sizing methods
Tension control for clean, comfortable, long-lasting braids
Proper hair prep, detangling, and blow-drying techniques
Each day includes instructor demonstrations, guided hands-on practice, and personalized feedback to help students develop confidence, consistency, and proper technique.
Students enrolled in the program will also receive:
Access to a private mentorship group with the instructor and past students
Six months of mentorship support to guide students beyond the classroom
A final hands-on project completed on a live model (students are responsible for providing their own model)
A certificate of completion upon successfully finishing the program
By the end of the course, students will have a solid foundation in braiding and the confidence to braid their own hair, their family’s hair, or begin their journey toward offering services professionally.
